How your cuffs measure pressure (LOP)

LOP (limb occlusion pressure), also sometimes known as AOP (arterial occlusion pressure), refers to the amount of pressure required to fully restrict arterial blood flow to a limb.

This measurement is used to personalize BFR training with the cuffs inflating to a set percentage of your LOP (e.g. 50%).

For example:

  • LOP = 200 mmHg
  • 50% occlusion = 100 mmHg

LOP is measured automatically by the cuffs using a built-in pressure sensor, similar to a blood pressure cuff. The sensor detects changes in blood flow and uses this data to determine your individual occlusion pressure.
